Spring Art Camp
Spring into the world of Art
April 22nd – April 26th
In this week we will learn about creating many different magnificent forms of art. We will create works of art that include paintings, drawings, watercolors, collages, and sculptures. Students will explore the world of art and be inspired by great artist and modern illustrators. From Van Gogh and Jasper Johns to Eric Carle and Maurice Sendak, we will celebrate great art and create unique masterpieces. Let your inner artist out!
Summer Arts Camp
Bringing Literature and Movies to Life with Art
July 8th – July 12th
In this week we will explore the power of art to bring literature and movies to life. The works of J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkien, Christopher Paolini, Suzanne Collins, and George Lucas will be used as inspiration to create unique art projects. From Harry Potter and Star Wars, to the Hobbit and the world of Dragons, we will explore various forms of art and let them bring life to the books and movies we all enjoy.
Animal Week
July 15th – July 19th
Be prepared to travel the continents in search of magnificent wildlife. It’s a safari and you are invited. Explore from the plains of Africa to the outback of Australia in search of your favorite animals. We will learn about the many amazing creatures that inhabit our planet, through projects like animal sculptures and mobiles. Have fun creating art that is influence by animals’ unique features, like leopard spots. It’s a wild animal adventure that will take you around the world.
Fantasy Week
July 22nd – July 26th
Believe it friends and fellow adventurers… this is a week of unlimited fantasy and adventure! We will find and become wizards, knights, fairies, and princesses as we seek mythical creatures like dragons. Transform into werewolves and be turned into sun resistant summer camp vampires. Beware- space aliens could land with robots. Anything could happen in this week as we let our imaginations run wild with magical art projects and costumes that celebrate the creative world of fantasy, horror and Science Fiction. Don’t be a zombie! Run, fly or use your transporter to fantasy week!
Comics, Cartoons and Manga Week
July 29th – August 2nd
Let’s bring to life our favorite cartoons, manga and comic book super heroes. Learn to draw and create cartoons and manga superheroes. Illustrate a comic book of your characters and stories. It’s a week of celebrating the amazing animation, cartoons, and comics we all love; from Disney and Sponge Bob to Naruto and Iron-Man. It’s a week of zany cartoons, princess stories and super hero adventures. Are you ready for the adventure true believers? Well let’s go!
Time Travel to Ancient Civilizations Week
August 5th – August 9th
Become an archeologist and travel the world in search of the treasures of ancient civilizations. Step back into the land of pyramids and pharaohs as you experience the magic of ancient Egypt. Learn to write your name in hieroglyphs and unravel the mysteries of mummies. Go in search of the lost Mayan kingdom as you recreate their amazing art and artifacts. Make mysterious Easter Island heads and build your own Stonehenge. It’s an expedition through time to the ancient past. Get ready for the adventure!
Great Artist Week
August 12th – August 16th
Enjoy a week-long celebration of art as you learn to paint and draw like the great masters. Do truly amazing abstract art and Jackson Pollock drip paintings. Explore the art of Picasso and Monet and create awesome Andy Warhol Pop Art. Work in clay and mixed media to make sculptures. Students will have fun developing their artistic skills and learning the gift of art appreciation and self-expression. Let the great artist in you out and create your own unique masterpieces!

Non-members $245 per week
Will we be working with clay?
Students will complete a minimum of 2 clay projects every week.
How do I register?
The Kimball-Jenkins office is open for registration weekdays from 9 A.M to 4:30 P.M. Please call 225-3932 or stop by our campus at 266 N. Main Street to register!
Registration is ongoing as long as space is available.
I work until 5:00, but the program ends at 3:00. Are there any after camp activities?
Yes! Kimball-Jenkins offers after camp supervision from 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM, for an additional $40 a week or $10 per day.
Before-care can also be arranged beginning at 8 AM. $5 per day or $20 per week.
Arrangements for before or after-care should be made through the office prior to the start of the week.
Will my 6 year old be in the same class as 13 year olds?
No! Each week has a common theme, but the camp is divided by age group so that the projects and instruction will be age appropriate, challenging, and fun. Instructors will tailor the program to individual students as much as possible, depending on their previous artistic experience. Children must have already been enrolled in a full-day kindergarten
or first grade program.
What does my child need to bring?
Your child should wear clothes they don't mind getting wet or dirty. A bag lunch (refrigeration is available), sunscreen and any medication he or she might need.
