The School of Art has three exhibition galleries located on
the Kimball-Jenkins Estate. The Carriage House Gallery hosts
changing exhibitions of contemporary artwork by School of
Art faculty and students as well as group and solo exhibitions
by some of the regions finest practicing artists.
The Portrait Room Gallery is our newest gallery located in the lower level of the Carriage House, features works by new and "up and comig" regional artists. Our third gallery, the Jill Coldren Wilson Gallery is located on
the ground floor of our Victorian
Mansion. This gallery will host exhibitions of regional and
national art of historical significance
whose works are enhanced by the rich architectural and design
elements inherent in the building.
The mission of each gallery is to offer exhibition opportunities
for artists working in the state, region, and beyond, to showcase the work of students and faculty,
and to curate shows to enhance the studio education curriculum of the School of Art.
The exhibition calendar will offer changing exhibitions in
both spaces, usually of six to eight weeks in duration. Check out our "What's Happening" page for the current exhibition.
The Jill Coldren Wilson Gallery is named for Mrs. Jill C.
Wilson of Hopkinton, New Hampshire and honors Mrs. Wilsons
years of dedicated service as a Trustee of the Kimball-Jenkins
Charitable
Trust.
