Pottery for beginner and intermediate (8 weeks, twice a week)

Learn the fundamentals of making pottery on the potter's wheel, and/or develop new skills to enhance your knowledge of pottery making. There will be many demonstrations, and one on one instruction. Time will be spent learning what makes clay work and how you can control it. Each person will work at his or her own pace with a little coaxing to experiment with new ways of working. Intermediate level potters will be challenged to expand on the skills you have and to learn new ones.

Clay can take on the appearance of almost anything with a set of tools & a pair of hands. Using pinching, coiling, slab building & a variety of textural techniques this class will explore the unique & versatile properties of the ceramic form. This class is open to those with all levels of experience.
