Arms to Art Initiative
Yesterday I watched a short video of an installation piece being set up at the Tate Modern in London. There was this scary puppet being dragged about, up in the air, on the ground. It was kind of gross and to me, meaningless. When I view the work of Goncalo Mabunda’s work it makes real sense to me. It’s direct. The point is clear. The message from the artist is...after many years of war (like 18) Mozambique is a new place. A place where the weapons of war have been turned into art. So Good!
