Bodys Isek Kingelez was from the DR of the Congo. He died 3 years ago in Kinshasa at the age of 63. He is now “the subject of a phenomenal exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art.” He called his works ‘extreme maquettes’. These amazing buildings and imaginary cities are made out of paper and cardstock and plastics.
