Kids Clay Workshop - Ages 10 -12

Get your hands dirty and explore the fun and possibilities of clay! This one-hour class is designed for young artists ages 10 -12 and introduces basic clay techniques through a playful, hands-on project. Students will learn how to work with clay through techniques such as pinching, rolling, coiling, and joining pieces, then use what they learn to create their own unique project. They’ll have plenty of time to experiment with shapes, textures, and details while developing their own ideas, with guidance and demonstrations from the instructor along the way. The class will end with students adding finishing touches, cleaning their workspaces, and preparing their pieces to be fired. No previous clay experience is necessary, students should come ready to experiment, get their hands dirty, and have fun creating with clay! 

Finished product will be glazed for future pick up, students will choose from a predetermined selection of glazes.
