Ghosts & Pumpkins: A Halloween Clay Workshop
Saturday Oct 17th from 1 - 4 pm in the Hand Building Studio
Get into the Halloween spirit with creative fun with clay! In this hands-on handbuilding workshop, students will learn simple clay techniques while creating their own spooky and playful ghosts and pumpkins. Students will choose to create a ghost, a pumpkin/autumn squash or both! We’ll explore pinch, coil, and slab-building techniques to create unique Halloween decorations that are full of personality. Ghost creations can be lit from within to create an illuminated sculpture! This workshop is open to students ages 12 and older.
The workshop runs from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. After completing your work, KJ staff will glaze the creations with colorful, festive glazes. Finished pieces will be fired and ready for pickup by Halloween on Oct 31st, making them the perfect addition to your seasonal decorations or a handmade gift!
Location: Carraige House Lower Level Classroom - Ceramics
No previous clay experience is necessary. All supplies and tools will be provided! Please come wearing clothes you can get messy!
