Topic: How everyone can make a difference in the world through travel" and I will also discuss the global impact of "Youth connecting with Youth".

Robert Goodwin is a 14th generation, “Marbleheader” residing in his hometown in Massachusetts. Robert is an author, businessman, teacher, and humanitarian. He holds five degrees in multiple disciplines. Mr. Goodwin has built businesses in the United States, Puerto Rico, England, Italy and Bulgaria. As an author some of his most notable books are “Elbridge Gerry Marblehead’s Forgotten Son” and “Behind the News the story of John “Finney” Burke”. Mr. Goodwin currently owns and operates a global organization Stone and Compass as well as four other businesses.

 

Stone and Compass is a non-profit company that donates all the profits from their tourism company to build global sustainable projects that better lives. The company is unique and believes that all people deserve to have fun traveling while at the same time helping those who are less fortunate. Stone and Compass is a youth driven company with an internship program that connects youth from the United States with youth in other countries through building sustainable projects. Our interns have the opportunity to travel globally, build projects, connect with other cultures, and change lives. Stone and Compass is a partner with the United Nations and currently has twenty-four sustainable ongoing projects in twelve countries.

Stone and Compass also owns a 2200-Acre vacation retreat center in central Bulgaria with a second center currently under construction in Sicily Italy.

Wednesday Wisdom is held on the second Wednesday of each month. Our goal is to bring fascinating speakers to a diverse group of greater Concord residents.
This is a pot luck and BYO (wine, beer or other drinks).
