Intro to Digital Photography with Allyson Poulin - Winter 1

This class is open to students ages 16 and up
In this course, we will cover a variety of different digital photography concepts and skills. This class is designed for beginners as well as students who are more advanced but want to fine tune their skills. We will cover photography styles ranging from landscape to portrait photography with in class demonstrations and opportunities for each student to practice on their camera.
Topics that will be discussed are:

How to shoot in manual mode on your camera

Basic photography terminology such as aperture, exposure, shutter speed, and depth of field.

How to upload images to Adobe Lightroom Classic as well as proper storage procedures for photos

How to edit and adjust images in Adobe Lightroom
Supplies:
-
DSLR or Mirrorless camera that has the option to shoot in Manual mode

Manual for your specific camera model (if you do not have the physical copy, they can usually be found online)
-
SD Card, 16GB or more (no brand preference)
-
Card reader if your laptop does not come with an SD card port
-
Charger and battery for your specific camera model

A laptop that has the ability to run Adobe Lightroom Classic

Subscription to Adobe Lightroom (usually the best thing is the Photography Bundle that Adobe offers - click here to view all the plans)

Optional: portable hard drive for additional storage, and a notebook to keep track of ideas, questions and notes
