Beginners Wheel Throwing with Wren

A beginner student has limited or no experience working with clay. Beginner classes are designed to teach all the basic skills and procedures of the studio. Students will learn the foundaitonal skills of throwing including centering, pulling, shaping and trimming. This class is focused on using the potter’s wheel and begin throwing basic forms such as bowls and mugs. Students have the liberty to follow their inspirations and make creative pieces and are not required to adhere to a specific series of final works. This course is intended for beginner-level pottery students. In addition to class time, Students are allowed studio access to practice independently at their convenience.

One 25 lb. bag of clay included along with glazing supplies and firing fees.
Each additional bag of clay is $30.
