All Levels Wheel Throwing with Wren

Join us for an engaging and creative Wheel Throwing class designed for all skill levels. Whether you are new to clay and eager to learn the fundamentals or an experienced potter looking to refine technique and expand your practice, this class offers a supportive environment where everyone can grow at their own pace. Instruction is tailored to individual experience levels, with demonstrations and one-on-one guidance to help each student develop skills and confidence on the wheel.

Students are encouraged to bring ideas, sketches, or sources of inspiration, and will receive thoughtful feedback and technical support to help realize their goals. Beginners can focus on core skills such as centering, pulling, shaping, and trimming, while more experienced students can explore advanced forms, refine surface treatments, or tackle more complex projects. Both functional and sculptural approaches are welcomed, allowing students to investigate a wide range of possibilities in clay.

A collaborative studio atmosphere encourages learning from one another through shared problem-solving, discussion, and the exchange of techniques and ideas. The class emphasizes creative exploration alongside craftsmanship, helping students build a deeper understanding of form, process, and personal expression. In addition to scheduled class sessions, students have access to open studio time to practice independently, continue projects, and develop their work at their own convenience. Students are not required to purchase their own tools, everything needed will be provided. One 25 lb bag of clay is included and more is available for purchase within the studio.
