Lamp Workshop
This six-week clay lamp workshop invites participants to explore the process of designing and building a functional ceramic lamp from start to finish. This workshop is intended for intermediate-advanced artists who either have space in the studio already or the ability to work from home to work independently on their lamps.
Students will use either wheel throwing or hand building techniques to construct a stable lamp base.
Throughout the course, we will discuss balance, scale, and functionality while experimenting with texture, carving, and glaze. By the end of the six weeks, each participant will complete a finished ceramic lamp base ready to be used in the home.
