Open Studio Series with Marcia

Date:
Mondays • June 15 - July 20 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Ages: Attendee must be older than 16 years old
Location: Ceramics Studio

A series of six, two-hour sessions designed to provide students with dedicated studio time, peer connection, and individualized support while working on self-directed projects. Students will have the opportunity to consult with the instructor throughout each session to ask questions, troubleshoot technical challenges, explore new techniques, and discuss studio practices related to handbuilding, wheel throwing, glazing, firing, and more.

While there will be no formal demonstrations or structured instruction, the class encourages experimentation, creative exploration, and skill development in a supportive community environment. Participants are welcome to work independently at their own pace or collaborate and share ideas with others in the studio. This class is ideal for students looking to deepen their practice, continue unfinished projects, or gain guidance while pursuing personal creative goals.

Marcia is a highly skilled potter and artist. She will be able to work with students of all levels - therefore this class has no skill requirements but some experience and familiarity with the studio is necessary, as this is not a traditional class structure.

Although this is a six week course, students will be allowed to keep their designated shelf spaces for the full eight weeks of summer courses.
