Surface Design Workshop - with Kim Pratt

Students will explore underglaze techniques including sgraffito, layering, color mixing, trailing, and more!
Students need to bring three or more leather-hard works (either thrown or hand built) to work with. Some pre-made slab tiles will be provided for practice. Students may choose brown or white stoneware for this workshop. All tools and clay will be provided, but students are allowed and encouraged to bring anything that they would like to use. Kim's work is a beautiful blend of realism and vibrant textured surfaces. She creates images of animals and plants with exciting patterns and backgrounds.
