Slow Stitch Studio with Sienna Larson - Summer
Slow stitching is a relaxed, open-ended approach to embroidery that focuses on process, experimentation, and working at your own pace. It’s a chance to step away from rushing, play with new materials, and enjoy making something by hand. Many people find it helps them unwind, stay present, and reconnect with the simple satisfaction of working with their hands. This is a perfect intro class for those new to needlework and a great opportunity for experienced stitchers to try something new.
In this class, you’ll learn a variety of techniques while exploring different fabrics, threads, and textures. You’ll be encouraged to follow your instincts, combine materials in new ways, and use stitching as a way to express ideas, memories, or simply enjoy the act of making. Minimalist or maximalist, see what happens!
Sienna teaches in a hands-on, supportive style, with plenty of guidance as you build skills and confidence. All materials are provided, and no experience is needed.
This class is part of Sienna’s series exploring 250 years of American decorative needlework.
