The Joy of Watercolor with Marie Gervacio - Summer

Call this class your steppingstones into the joyful world of watercolor. Basic fine art
techniques as well as playful techniques are experimented with in a joyful manner. Demos,
techniques, and inspiration impart the learning experience while leaving room for
exploration and experimentation.

Tools, washes/glazes, textures, color combinations, composition, and more are all covered
for the beginner and reinforced for continuing students. The last class is a final project
incorporating elements learned using the reference of student's choice.

Marie lugs in some of her art and stories with hopes of igniting courage to try something
new and inspiration to see the things around you with a new lens.

The process of any painting takes time to reach the ahhh moment where everything pops.
Mistakes happen, fixing or incorporating them into the art is covered in the class. Marie
tries to make the student’s watercolor journey a positive and meaningful experience.
