Vintage America: An Introduction to Traditional Redwork with Sienna Larson (one-day) - July 8th
Date:
Wednesday • July 8 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Ages: Attendee must be older than 18 years old
If you’ve ever admired those crisp red designs on vintage linens, this is your chance to learn how they’re made. Redwork is a classic American embroidery style built on simple outline stitches that create bold, graphic designs.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the basic stitches used in redwork and start your own project using vintage motifs. You will start by transferring your design and then get your stitching off to a strong start. This is a hands-on class with plenty of guidance, and all materials are provided. You’ll leave with new skills and a project underway.
This workshop is part of Sienna’s series exploring 250 years of American decorative needlework.
Supplies: Supplies will be provided by the instructor.
Adult: $45.00
