Crewelwork Classics: An Early American Tradition with Sienna Larson - Summer
In this class, you’ll learn the essentials of early American Jacobean crewelwork stitched in the classic blue-and-white palette. Each week builds your skills as you work toward your own floral motif, suitable for framing, a pillow, or another finished piece.
We’ll look at how these designs came to early America and how this tradition evolved. We’ll then spend most of our time stitching. Sienna teaches in a hands-on, approachable way with plenty of guidance as you learn a range of traditional stitches, how to use them with confidence and then choose which ones to use to personalize your project. All materials are provided, and no experience is needed. Come ready to learn and enjoy the process!
This class is part of Sienna’s series exploring 250 years of American decorative needlework.
Supplies: Supplies will be provided by the instructor.
