Journals from Fabric with Jean Reed (one-day) - August 1

Have you thought about creating your own personal journal – a sacred little book to write in or doodle?  

The focus of this class is the construction of a 3 ½” x 5” book, made with chipboard and covered with upholstery fabric.  Upon completion, you will make signatures that will be sewn into your book.  I will show you how to create some basic ephemera (tags, pockets, belly bands) and discuss different kinds of closures for your special journal.

Supplies: Students should bring sharp scissors, pencils, notebook, and ruler to class.  If you have special buttons or embellishments you might want to use on your journal, bring them along.
