Ink & Watercolor: Creative Exploration for Beginners with Marie Gervacio - Fall 2

This 5-week course combines the bold simplicity of ink drawing with the fluid beauty of watercolor. Students will explore how line and color interact to create expressive, personal and playful pieces. Through guided techniques and open-ended projects, participants will build confidence with materials, learn foundational skills and enjoy a mindful, relaxing art experience. The focus is on enjoyment, experimentation, and creative expression- not perfection.
By the end of the course, students will understand and use basic ink and watercolor tools and techniques, create line based compositions, learn to layer watercolor washes under or over ink, explore contrast, texture, and movement through mixed media, complete various original artworks to help develop a personal style.
By the end of the course, students will have a foundational understanding of watercolor painting and the confidence to continue their creative journey.
