April 9th - May 28th | Tuesdays, 6:00PM - 8:00PM | 8-week course
In this 8-week session, students will receive an introduction to the art of printmaking. We will look at prints in a variety of techniques and study how they were made. Today there is a vast array of approaches to making prints, and the intent of this session is to help students discover which techniques might work best to enhance their own approach to making art. Students will learn and experiment with non-toxic Akua Inks and their modifiers making monotypes and monoprints, linoleum reduction printing, working with watercolors, and the drypoint process. Students will learn how to prepare inks, papers, work with tools and set and print plates correctly.
