Learn the art of Bookmaking in this beginner-friendly class. We will learn and build skills for different book structures each week, starting with the simplest and building skills to more complex structures.
Included will be discussions on the basic tools and their uses, bookbinding terms, paper and book cloth choices, and the book structures. You will learn the skills for both hard and soft-structured books using both adhesive and non-adhesive methods. In this class, you will learn the simple pamphlet stitch, how to construct a proper accordion, multi-signature book, and cased-in hardcover book.
