Whether you’ve never picked up needles before or just want to refresh your skills, this 5-week beginner knitting class is designed to guide students step-by-step through the basics. You’ll get hands-on practice with essential techniques like casting on and off, knitting, purling, decreasing stitches, and sewing seams. These foundational skills will prepare you to confidently read patterns and create your very own scarf and hat.
Along the way, we’ll explore important knitting terms such as gauge, yarn weight, common abbreviations, and fiber content — everything you need to feel comfortable and confident with your projects. Plus, enjoy lively conversations about the rich history of knitting and discover the many wonderful benefits this craft brings to your life.
