Ages: Attendee must be older than 16 years old
Location: Ceramics Studio

Students will experience an exploration of ceramic art by practicing hand building techniques, including pinching, coiling and slab building. They will have the liberty of making creative pieces, but also learn how to make 'functional art', such as vases, cups, and bowls. Aesthetic, technical, and conceptual problems will also be explored. Students will have access to open studio hours to practice skills and make work outside of designated class time. A variety of tools and decorative materials will be offered. Handbuilding is the oldest method of working with clay, come create something totally unique and beautiful with your own two hands! Students are not required to purchase their own tools, all supplies needed will be provided and the cost of class includes one 25lb bag of clay.
