Celebrate Earth Day with a creative approach to caring for what we already own. This one-day workshop introduces the basics of Embellishmending (decorative repair), focusing on patches and decorative stitches that both repair and beautify clothing. Students will learn simple, patient hand-stitching techniques used to repair, reinforce, and enhance worn areas while adding personal style and meaning. This beginner-friendly class includes all materials and stands on its own, while also pairing beautifully with Embellishmending 102 – Mini Weaves for Clothing Repair.

Students are encouraged to bring a garment — a favorite pair of pants, a jacket or something in need of a little TLC — to receive advice and ideas for embellished repairs. Come experiment, learn new techniques, and deepen your connection to the clothes you already love. 

Supplies: Supplies will be provided by the instructor.
