Celebrate Earth Day by exploring creative ways to mend and strengthen well-loved clothing. This one-day workshop focuses on playful mini weaving techniques that turn repairs into decorative design, working on both woven and non-woven items such as jeans, sweaters, socks, and everyday clothing.

Students will learn mini woven repair methods that repair, reinforce and add color and texture to worn areas. This class stands on its own and pairs beautifully with Embellishmending 101 – Patches and Decorative Stitches. Students are encouraged to bring a garment — a favorite pair of pants, a jacket, sweater or something in need of a little TLC — to receive advice and ideas for embellished repairs. Come experiment, learn new techniques, and deepen your connection to the clothes you already love. 

Supplies: Supplies will be provided by the instructor.
