Corey Garland

Corey fell in love with photography at the early age of 10, when his parents reluctantly handed him the role of family photographer during a trip to Disney World. That spark quickly grew into a lifelong passion. During high school and college, Corey worked in the photo lab at Concord Camera Store, developing prints for many of the area’s professional photographers. Spending every day immersed in the work of wedding and portrait photographers taught Corey so much about posing, composition, and storytelling. It also gave him the strong foundational understanding of exposure to convince himself he was ready to immerse himself in photography.

Corey began photographing portraits for friends and shooting family weddings on film. Once digital photography emerged and Corey taught himself Photoshop, he officially launched his own business, specializing in weddings and portraits.

Today, Corey focuses primarily on corporate headshots and family portraiture, but if the work involves people, you’ll still find him behind the lens, doing what he loves most.
