Intro to Masterboards & Mark Making Workshop with Deb Brown - 9/20
Saturday | 10am-3pm | Fall 1 | One-day | 9/20
A "masterboard" is a larger piece of paper decorated with a variety of techniques and is used as a base for other projects. In this one-day workshop, we will be using acrylic paints and creating more interest on the page through mark making. "Mark Making" is adding a diverse range of, well, marks, to the base using a variety of things like stencils, stamps, or common household items like bottle tops, dry wall tape, bubble wrap, etc. You'll never look at household items the same again! You can then cut this larger piece up into smaller ones to use in other projects, like books, tags, ATC's or whatever!
During this workshop, we'll talk about other ways to create masterboards and ways to use and embellish them during our "drying times". You should have time to make at least 11 x 14 master boards. If you plan to also take new KJ Faculty Deb Brown’s Slip Knot Book workshop on 9/27, these will be perfect to make the pages for that book.
Supplies will be provided by instructor.
